ZIYU Xiamen Live Concert — 10-Ring Aerial Matrix with Touring-Grade Repeatability

ZIYU Xiamen Live Concert — 10-Ring Aerial Matrix with Touring-Grade Repeatability

May 08, 2026

Project Overview

YZDITEC provided stage automation rental for ZIYU's 2026 Xiamen live concert, deploying a 64-axis servo rigging system to support a complex aerial scenic matrix. The configuration featured ten interlocking kinetic rings—nine semi-circular lighting trusses and one elliptical ring—forming a dynamic overhead canopy controlled via the Black Warrior motion control console.

1. System Configuration

  • 64× entertainment hoist— BGV C1 certified with triple-redundant safety architecture
  • 10-ring aerial matrix — 9× semi-circular trusses + 1× elliptical ring, independently articulated (multi-axis moving truss)
  • Black Warrior Show Control console —real-time hoist controller, 3D pre-visualization, multi-angle posture preview, touchscreen + physical control interface

2. Touring-Grade Repeatability: Absolute Encoder Advantage

Touring productions demand identical show performance across venues. YZDITEC servo chain hoists use absolute encoders, which retain precise positional memory even after power cycles or transport. This eliminates the need for re-homing at each venue—operators load the pre-programmed show file, verify attachment points, and run the cue stack with zero positional drift.

For a 64-axis system with complex interdependent geometries, this translates to: faster load-in, reduced on-site programming, and guaranteed positional consistency across the tour.

3. Offline Programming Workflow

The ten-ring matrix was fully programmed in the console's 3D Simulation Software during the setup phase. Operators visualized each cue from multiple camera angles, validated clearances, adjusted acceleration curves, and confirmed inter-ring coordination—all before powering the physical rig.

Once validated offline, the show file transferred to the live system with no positional translation errors. What you simulate is what you execute. This workflow compresses on-site commissioning time and reduces the risk of discovering spatial conflicts during technical rehearsals.

4. Multi-Axis Synchronization

The nine semi-circular lighting trusses moved in coordinated formations, creating shifting overhead geometries synchronized to musical phrasing. EtherCAT's deterministic communication (sub-millisecond cycle times) ensured that all 64 axes executed position updates within the same control loop—no visible lag between hoists, no cumulative timing drift over the course of a long show.

Precision at this scale isn't optional. It's structural.
