YZDITEC at BABE HOUSE: Engineering Extreme Clearances

YZDITEC at BABE HOUSE: Engineering Extreme Clearances

Jun 18, 2026

Venue: BABE HOUSE Entertainment Venue, Zunyi

Scope: Custom-engineered Multi-axis stage automation — motorized track LED screens, kinetic lighting trusses, automated DJ platforms

Site area: Over 1,000 m² of motorized track LED screen coverage

1. Overview

BABE HOUSE called for a venue-wide kinetic LED screen system — curved transparent screens sliding and lifting on motorized tracks, lighting trusses rising and rotating in place, and automated DJ platforms descending from above. YZDITEC was engaged to design, build, and control the full system within a space far tighter than the design drawings suggested.

2. The Challenge

On-site commissioning revealed clearances well below plan: roughly 15 cm between a moving screen and the wall, with a triangular lighting truss mounted beneath the wall surface directly in the screen's path. The screen had to clear the truss, then transition smoothly into a vertical orientation — descending along a horizontal plane while audience areas flanked both sides. Any miscalculation meant collision risk in a live entertainment venue.

3. The YZDITEC Solution

a. Motion Control — Black Warrior System — custom-engineered for the site

  • 3D simulation and pre-visualization in Pando, YZDITEC's proprietary show control software, to model every clearance before installation
  • A purpose-built multi-point calibration algorithm, mapping each interference zone and feeding it into real-time control logic for collision-free motion
  • Absolute encoder servo drives with closed-loop feedback for millimetre-accurate positioning
  • EtherCAT communication bus enabling synchronized, zero-latency multi-axis motion control

b. Mechanical systems — built to the venue's exact geometry

  • Motorized track trolley system: 42 m of track across 3 groups, 0.13 m/s travel speed, driving 3 curved transparent LED screens
  • Dual servo stage winch lift per screen (2.9 kW fixed + 4.4 kW motorized trolley-mounted), 6.5 m travel, 870 kg load capacity
  • 15 × square lighting truss units combining CNC lift (6.5 m travel) and internal rotation
  • Aerial DJ booth lift system: 8 m travel, 250 kg load
  • Lifting stage: 400–1,500 mm height range, 1,100 mm travel
  • Rotating DJ table: Φ3,900 mm, 360° reciprocating rotation, speed adjustable down to 30 sec/revolution

4. Project at a Glance

  • 42 individually controlled motion units across five mechanical system types
  • 1,000+ m² of synchronized track LED screen coverage
  • Lift, rotation, curved-track slide, and tilt — combined on one unified control timeline
  • Zero-collision performance in a sub-15 cm clearance zone

5. The Result

Every screen, truss, and platform moved exactly as programmed — fluid, synchronized, and collision-free, even in the venue's tightest corridors. The project reflects YZDITEC's core engineering approach: no two venues share the same geometry, so neither the mechanics nor the control logic are off-the-shelf. Each system — from the hoist configuration to the calibration algorithm — is custom-built around the site's actual constraints.
