Overview
A DOT by GNH is a premium convention and event venue in Gurugram, built for large-scale galas, corporate productions, and high-profile banquets. The brief called for a permanently installed kinetic overhead rig capable of transforming the room's aerial geometry on any given event — not through set changes, but through a fully programmable, recallable motorised rigging system.
YZDITEC supplied and commissioned a 48-axis servo hoist system controlling 16 rectangular truss rings arranged in 4 independent arrays. Each ring is individually programmable for lift height, tilt angle, and height offset. Motion across the full rig executes synchronised or staggered — different rings moving to different positions simultaneously, reliably, on a single cue.

System Specification

Control & Pre-Visualisation
Prior to installation, the complete rig was pre-visualised in Pando 3D Software— a 1:1 simulation environment within the Show Automation System, Black Warrior System. Every cue sequence was programmed, reviewed, and approved on screen before any hardware was commissioned on site. What was confirmed in simulation is what runs in the room.
Hardware communication runs over EtherCAT Communication, with absolute encoders delivering real-time positional feedback and power-cut position retention. No re-homing is required between events or sessions.
Outcome
With 48 independently controlled axes, every ring in the rig can hold a different height and tilt simultaneously. The ±1 mm positioning accuracy means each aerial composition — however complex — can be recalled and reproduced exactly, event after event, without drift.
The overhead geometry of this venue is no longer fixed. Every production starts with a blank canvas and a programme file.
