Challenge
For this live tour the production brief was clear: dynamic LED structures and scenic elements had to rise, fall and transition in perfect sync with lighting and timecode across multiple venues — with zero compromise on performer safety or nightly repeatability. The main challenge was coordinating multi-point motion at millimetre precision while keeping setup and on-site debugging to a minimum during a tight touring schedule.

Our Solution
We answered with a turnkey automation package: 24 BGV-C1/ EN 17206-compliant servo hoists synchronized over EtherCAT, controlled by our BW show control console, and fully validated in the Pando 3D digital-twin software before load-in. The system delivered ±1 mm positioning, ultra-smooth speeds, real-time safety monitoring and automatic collision detection during pre-show simulation — enabling confident virtual rehearsals and near-perfect first-time execution on site.
Implementation
The results were immediate and measurable: significant reduction in setup and debugging time, faster show programming, quieter operation (~68 dB) and consistent, repeatable scene motion. Production teams reported fewer on-site adjustments, faster cue verification, and improved coordination with lighting and media systems via DMX/Ethernet integration.
